Using what I said in the video link I always squeeze everything I need into it for short trips. For longer trips I do the opposite - I bring a bag way too big so there is plenty of room for presents and souvenirs to bring home!! You would be surprised at how many students and broke travelers come home and sell their packs for extra cash!
