Cult of Travel was born out of a decade long obsession for travel and all things travel related. After spending countless hours-days-years stoking our wanderlust surfing dozens upon dozens of travel web sites, we figured, why not get in on the action?

So, here it is. We can say it’s still in “beta” stage, though aren’t all web sites in a (hopefully) continuous state of change? Our backpacker’s radar is always seeking out travel tips and news so do send us an email if you have travel questions, travel news or feedback you’d like to share.

About the editor…Francoise Methot caught the travel bug late in life, and mistakenly took a detour traveling for business for far too long before shedding her wheelie suitcase for a 60 liter backpack. After stints consulting, and working as an analyst, she decided to escape the cubicle farm for good and try her luck at writing and web development. Cult of Travel is her first foray into the world of web publishing. She’s traveled extensively in North America, parts of Europe and the Middle East. Next stops: Southeast Asia and India.

Home is currently in Eastern Canada where she’s dividing her time between writing and planning her next adventure. You can find her, on most afternoons, at the local Starbucks working away on her laptop and trying to convert the regulars to the wonderful world of independent travel.
